Some body fat is needed to protect the person's health as well as supplying a reservoir of energy for performing various body functions.

We cover the five types of fat and the problem areas where fat starts to build up. Each type of fat serves a different role. Some promote healthy metabolism and hormone levels, while others contribute to life-threatening diseases.
