In this episode of the Soberhead Podcast, Dr. Esra Çavuşoğlu, PhD welcomes Rowena Gates. Rowena Gates is a highly successful businesswoman in the health sector, known for her work on NanoVi technology and for serving in an executive role at Eng3 Corporation.
Dr. Esra Çavuşoğlu, PhD and Rowena Gates begin by reframing “protein” beyond food, explaining that proteins are the body’s functional machinery and must constantly fold into precise shapes to keep us alive. Because oxidative stress is a natural part of breathing and metabolism, proteins are continuously damaged and repaired. When damage accumulates, it accelerates aging and contributes to chronic conditions like neurodegeneration, diabetes, and inflammation. They also highlight that excessive antioxidant use can sometimes disrupt the body’s own repair signaling. In the second half, they discuss Nano-V’s philosophy: instead of adding more oxygen, the goal is to improve how the body utilizes oxygen at the cellular level. The device works with humidified airflow and specific wavelengths absorbed by water, aiming to support protein folding and cellular efficiency. They reference reported improvements in VO2 max, HRV, recovery, and lab-based protein viability markers, while emphasizing that it is not positioned as a disease treatment and that lifestyle remains foundational for long-term health.
