I spent two years making my agency harder to understand.
More offers. More lead magnets. More resources. More positioning. More stuff.
The result? An offer that needed an explanation before people could understand what I was selling.
So I did the opposite.
I deleted most of my marketing.
One brand. One clear offer. One positioning. One system.
And that decision became the foundation for the new HDM GRO-ads — The Science of E-commerce Advertising.
The idea is simple: good advertising starts with understanding, not guessing.
That means understanding the customer, finding the real desire behind the purchase, connecting product features to those desires, building concepts around personas and offers, then testing what actually works.
Just research → psychology → creative → measurement → testing.
And there was another problem I wanted to fix: the way agencies make clients work across five different platforms just to get a campaign running. So I rebuilt the onboarding process around one simple system that takes about 45 minutes.
This is the thinking behind GRO-ads 2.0 — and why I'm betting on simplicity over complexity as I build the business into 2027.
