Letter 3 of The Screwtape Letters is about Screwtape telling Wormwood how his patient should pray. He tells him to make sure when his patient prays for his mother it’s about the things that annoy him about her. Then, get the patient thinking about the face she makes that annoys him, that she’s intentionally trying to offend him with her words and her actions, and get him to be oversensitive. Isn’t that true that can happen to all of us on a daily basis? Our relationships in our lives are not easy, and getting offended can happen at any time. We aren't called to live offended. We are called to live with grace and love for people and assuming the best, not the worst in people.  You can be free of this mindset! Choosing to see the best in people is our choice to make.
