The Scripts We Inherit – Culture, Identity & the Stories That Shape Us
What if the beliefs that shape your life were never really your choice?
In this episode of TA Therapy Ain’t Just White, Robyn, Wendy, Mike and Craig unpack one of Transactional Analysis’ most influential concepts: Script—the unconscious life plan formed in childhood that continues to shape how we think, feel and relate to others.
But this conversation goes beyond classical TA theory. Together, the team explores how culture, migration, race, class, family systems and social institutions all contribute to the messages we inherit and the survival strategies we develop.
