Ryan Wilkes is a nature-focused filmmaker who started out on a path towards anything but that.  Using the usual decision points that a 17 year old does, he ended up in Engineering, and after using that degree for a few years when he knew there had to be more.  He moved to New Zealand to pursue his PhD and found what he was looking for.  The meandering path to where he is now is unique, exciting and worth the listen!
