Welcome back to Advent! This week is the Second Sunday in Advent, affectionately known among Anglicans as "Bible Sunday." The theme of the week is that the Scriptures are necessary in order for the knowledge of the Lord's coming to bring comfort and hope. The Epistle reading comes from Romans 15. The Gospel is Luke 21. The Old Testament First Lessons are from Isaiah 5 and 24.
