The Secret Diaires of Shady Cats: The Crooked Contest by Sir Herbert Sneakies Book II.

A dog boat called The Barkity shipwrecks on a beautiful beach. The dogs Sergeant Barkus ``Chorizo" a Chiwawa, Latte a Labradoodle, Blade a Husky and Miss Posey a Maltese leave their ship and come to shore with their suitcases,surf boards. They soon make a home for themselves building a straw hut and make a delicious clam bake.

A devious cat named Whiskers McCoy spies on the surfing dogs and goes back to his big cat food factory Meow Squared. He calls his secretary Miss Mink Stole a Persian Cat in designer Cat Love dress  to consult with. Whiskers Mccoy an American Curl cat askes Miss Mink how can he get rid of the dogs on the beach as they are ruining his plans to build his big Casino and Hotel Multiplex with big Flashing lights.

Miss Mink comes up with a genius and devious plan in exchange that McCoy will promote her to Vice President of Marketing at the factory.

Mccoy agrees as long as the contest is rigged so that his cousin Fintis Steel Claw will win the prize. Miss Mink She comes up with a contest and a smear campaign against the dogs spreading false rumors they are vicious and dangerous to cats especially kittens. The citizens will fear the dogs and want to get rid of them.

Whiskers McCoy riggs the contest so his cousin Fintis Steel Claw will win the prize. McCoy loves the crooked contest and rounds up Fintis and his gang of devious cats to win the prize and land for him. McCoy announces the contest to the cat citizens.McCoy tells them anyone who gets rid of the mongrel dogs invading their beach will win a year's supply of  Meow Squared Kibble Mix, plenty of catnip and Land Parcel known as #496 West. All the cats get excited to win the land and the prize!

Dewey a Scottish Fold cat dreams of being a warrior and wants to win the land to have peace and quiet place to write. ScarletPaws, a beautiful RagDoll cat with dazzling blue eyes, says she is going to win so she can open her Boots & Buckles Boot Store. Icicle a punk rocker Turkish Angora cat with Mohawk and tattoos of a + and - sign on his head laughs at her. Fintis Steel Claw, a Russian Blue cat with silver steel teeth and silver steel claws, says he will form a team to get rid of those nasty vicious mongrel dogs. Everyone wants to be on Fintis Steel Claw's team but he picks his friends Icelce and Jett, a black panther Bombay cat who has lots of catnip.

Dewey who is clueless how he is going to win goes on a walk to find a nice scratching post. His nail gets caught on an old wooden box with a rusty lock. He brings home the box to his secret fort. He listens to audio books by Half Mo
