Throughout life, when presented with 2-3 options, ALL of us choose the option we believe will make us the most HAPPY. And so we choose Susan over Christy, History over Pre-Med, and we're convinced owning a house will be better than renting. So given all the effort we put into making ourselves happy, you would think we would be the happiest people around. And you'd be dead wrong. That's because there IS a secret to happiness, and it's not intuitive.
