Sermon for the Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost
Today our guest preacher, Valear Howsam, looks into what it means to truly see, by looking into the story of Bartimaeus, a blind man who cries out to Jesus for mercy. Bartimaeus is rebuked by the crowds, but not by Jesus.
Readings appointed for Pentecost 23 are:
• Job 42: 1-6; 10-17;
• Psalm 34
• Hebrews 7: 23-28
• Mark 10: 46-52
Recorded at St. Saviour’s Church, 43 Kimberley Avenue, Toronto, M4E 2Z4.
