In May of 2023, “The Secrets of Hillsong” was released on FX/Hulu. Originally pitched to the participants as a narrative focused on spiritual abuse survivors, it turned out to be a redemption fiction about Carl and Laura Lentz. So I wrote this letter to the director (Stacey Lee) to express how I felt about that plot twist.
