December 10, 2023 . . .

Reading Ephesians 1:3-4, Paul tells us that we are blessed followers of Jesus Christ who was sent to us by God to provide a way to salvation and eternal life with Him. From the beginning, paradise was lost at Eden but it was gained at Calvary. God provided a ram for Abraham when he was about to sacrifice his son Isaac. But there was no substitute for Jesus Christ on the cross. As the Son of God, His death and resurrection have provided a way for everyone to return to God. While we celebrate the birth of Jesus during Christmas time, let us also celebrate the story that began at creation. God has loved us all along. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), but He has always given us a way back to Him. So, the seeds of Christmas go all the way back to creation. Without the cross Jesus would be just another baby. Have a blessed Christmas and remember the love that continues to come down from our Lord since the beginning of time.
