In today’s sermon, I will mention several Bible passages that are important to our Christmas story and the seeds that played a role in the four promises God made to Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3. You may want to have your Bible handy and pause the sermon if you would like to read the verses that I mention here. God has always had a plan for His people and there are many factors that influenced His outcome. This includes a story about King David and Abishag in I Kings 1:1-4. The seeds of Christmas began with the first sin in Genesis Chapter 3, with Abraham offering Isaac as a sacrifice in Genesis Chapter 22, and the eventual coming of our savior Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament. As you listen and read the Word think about how God’s plan for your life unfolds and how His grace gave us the best Christmas gift.
