Daily routines. This can be a tough one.

Is any day the same? No. Is there a right or perfect time to carry out your daily rituals? No. You have to do what works for you. And we are all different. Try not to fall into the Comparison/Google/Scroll trap - what works for you, might not work for others.

It is, however, good to get some routine into your mornings to get ready and “primed” for the days, and ultimately a successful one.

Mornings can differ. That’s OK. Make it work for you and your family and your lifestyle. It depends on you. Are you creative in the morning? Are you sharper then? Use that time to work and create and do your routine a bit later.

Routine Tips:

  • Don’t look at your phone until you have done certain things
  • Carve out time - even if it’s 5 mins a day
  • Breathe. Just sit and breathe and observe
  • Meditation - don’t put a time ‘must’ on it
  • Pop to the loo to take 5 minutes out of your day
  • Journaling - what your day will look like, reflection, conversations and meetings you'll have that day and how they will work out, issue, theme
  • Read a book
  • Listen to a podcast or audiobook
  • Movement - yoga, walk, run, cycle, gym
  • Be mindful - with food, people you hang out with, your thoughts… EVERYTHING!
  • Learn. Choose to learn and apply learnings yourself, rather than being fed or relying on someone else

  • Insight Timer - meditation timer, guided meditations, courses and more
  • Down Dog Yoga App - varied ability and length yoga practice
  • Balanced diet - good food and a good relationship with food - check out Anna’s post
  • The great outdoors - GET OUTSIDE!
  • Friends - share with others and try out different activities to help you become more selfish!
  • Get rid of emails/Instagram Accounts etc that don’t serve you!
  • Essential oils that can promote positive feelings and support you daily

When overwhelm, fear, pressure, lack of control strikes - DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF! Have boundaries. Be true to you and respect your own energy.

There is so much you could do but let’s face it, it all depends on you and your lifestyle and your time.

Both Anna and Nicola are HUGE believers in choices. And we all choose to do things, or not, on the daily. They are realists and we don’t always practice what we preach BUT we try to do know a few things, and thanks to experience, we know that a little change and simple practice can do a whopping amount.
