Paul Beatty has once again written a comical story about a group of characters that only his wild imagination can create. The unnamed, black narrator tells the story of his crazy life growing up with his single parent Dad in the ghetto town of Dickens, CA, with equally crazy people, to him coming before the Supreme Court on charges of enslavement and re-instituting segregation.
