***Trigger Warning*** For those with lives experience or those who have lost a loved one to the violence associated with abuse and stalking, this episode can or may trigger memories, emotions or PTSD in relation to the event(s) they have experienced. 1 in 6 women are stalked in the United States at some point in their lives. 76% of women murdered by an intimate partner were stalked by that partner. 54% of women murdered went to the police beforehand. These statistics are alarming and crimes and aggressions against women are rising. They aren’t lessening. Less than 1/3 of the states classify stalking as a felony. This episode explores a young woman’s experience with stalking and how she is coping with her experience. Her name has been withheld for legalities as well as her safety.
