In His conversation with Nicodemus, Jesus spoke of the serpent in the wilderness as a type of Him in His crucifixion. The account of the Israelites punishment by fiery serpents, and following salvation by looking upon a bronze serpent is instructive as it pertains to God's plan for salvation. Jesus' teaching in His talk with the Pharisee is filled with important truth.
