Can you imagine if all of Lancaster City and County decided to walk north of Harrisburg near Millersburg to be baptized in the Susquehanna? Well that’s how the gospel of Mark opens. It’s a time of renewal in Judea- people leaving their foods, comforts, and recreational activities behind them to confess their sins and find cleansing and hope. After 400 years of God’s silence, something is stirring. What was behind this movement? What can we learn from it today?
