If Jesus if really God, then we must pick a side. This week we look into the “temple showdowns” where the leaders of the day from different spheres look to trap Jesus. As we look at these we could easily step back and say “man, how clear does Jesus have to make it to these people? Jesus has told them numerous times at this point what is going to happen and who he is.” But, the challenge for us is to examine our lives. We must choose a side; each of the groups of people that come to entrap Jesus represent us and how we live our lives today outside of the authority of Jesus. As you read and look ahead examine your heart. You may say with your mouth that you are on Jesus’ side but is your life reflecting that?
