Heart wrenching story. Easy to know characters. Moving story line. Loved every moment of this book. You know everything is going to the together at the end, but you're not sure how and it keeps you guessing. Loved this story.

I loved this book. So many fascinating characters and how their lives intertwine. I've recommended it to all my friends. If you enjoy sewing, there'll have added pleasure in the reading.
Lovely simply lovely.
I just inherited a treadle "red eye" made in New Jersey in 1913. It as my Great Grandmothers (bought second hand). It needs some oiling and tuning but as I work the treadle and smell the metal I feel it's history humming. Thank you for this book it is a true gift .
