Michael is joining us to promote his newest book, Cinematic Immunity: An Oral History of New York Filmmaking As Told by the Crews that Got the Shot, which was recently released by Feral House. It is a wonderful collection of interviews and essays from some of New York City's below-the-line film workers who helped build New York City's independent film culture.

On this episode, we're tackling a film that is on both Michael's Shame Lists—Spike Lee's Mo' Better Blues. It's a beautiful film that features Spike Lee's signature view of the world, phenomenal performances, and music that will stick with you.
