Have you ever wondered how shadows are created? A shadow only appears when an object obstructs the light that surrounds it. But without the light, the shadow wouldn’t exist in the first place. This simple phenomenon holds the key to understanding the teachings of the Sacred Atlantean Brotherhood, as shared by Grand Master WaXhira.
He teaches that just as all space is filled with light—unseen until an object interacts with it—all of existence is filled with divine consciousness, often referred to as God. Like light, this infinite consciousness remains hidden until it interacts with thoughts, emotions, or actions. It is these interactions that give rise to what we perceive as reality.
Light, Objects, and Shadows: A Metaphor for Life Take a moment to consider how shadows work. The space around you is filled with light, even if you can’t always see it. When you place an object in the path of light, it blocks the light, creating a shadow. The shadow is neither the light nor the object—it’s the absence caused by the object’s interaction with the light.
This interaction offers a profound metaphor for existence. The light is ever-present, just like the universal consciousness that underlies all reality. The shadow, much like what we call "reality," only appears when something interacts with the infinite light of existence. It is the interaction between light (consciousness) and matter (our thoughts, actions, and the physical world) that creates the perception of the world around us.
Without the object, there is no shadow. Without consciousness, there is no perception, no reality.
