As a society, we have become so politically polarized that we can't talk about politics without getting emotional and angry at each other. We have reached a point where we can't speak about issues that are important to us without being accused of being from the other side. This has even affected families to the point of not speaking to each other.
Even when we make bad political choices, we are not willing to listen to any other opinion. Instead, we double down on our choices and look for any reason to justify why our decision was the right one.
However, this should not be the case. We can have opposing views and political perspectives and still be friends and talk about politics without getting angry and emotional. Hearing other people will help you understand where they are coming from even when you don't agree with them.
As a parent, you should keep your family emotionally safe from all that is happening. It is important to have political conversations without brainwashing them into your political beliefs.
Click play and listen as we talk about the political situation in our country and why we are so divided along political lines.
