Advance Wars Re-boot Camp has been delayed to the increasingly busy Spring 2022. But that's not going to stop Eric from talking about the series! In this episode we're doing an introductory dive into Advance Wars including history, gameplay, characters, units PVP and more! And of course it wouldn't be a SideQuesting episode without the return of Pokedex Please!

Eric has a couple of tiny mistakes to clean up at the start of this episode of the SideQuesting Podcast, leading off with brief updates on Metroid Dread and Sora launching in Smash Bros. Then, Rockstar is pulling down their GTA trilogy on Steam to prepare for the imminent launch of their remastered/remade trilogy. Is this setting a dangerous precedent in gaming? Eric rambles and wonders what the future of gaming preservation looks like in a landscape where collector fever and companies looking to cash in on nostalgia are making access to old games harder than ever.

Metroid Dread is here! Eric has been using all of his spare time to explore Samus' new adventure from Mercury Steam and Nintendo. Is Dread a worthy conclusion to the Metroid saga, and does it live up to some of the crowning achievements in its genre, Super Metroid and Hollow Knight? Plus, the return of everyone's favorite disturbing Pocket Monsters segment, PokeDex Please!

And with that, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is complete! In this episode, Eric breaks down the FINAL 'Mr. Sakurai Presents' which includes the announcement of the last character being added to the game. After 6 years and being the number one requested character on the Smash Bros ballet, Sora from Kingdom Hearts finally joins the fight. Eric also takes some time to reflect on how the Smash announcements over the years have brought us together (and torn us apart), as well as the incredible accomplishment that Sakurai and his team have achieved in making a game that defies expectations. Now somebody send Sakurai on vacation and get him a cheeseburger.
