What is God like? Is he loving, kind, angry, judgmental? Does he require a process of shame, sorrow, regret, and turning from sin to right behavior? What did Jesus really mean when he said on the cross, “it is finished!?” Is it possible that religious teachings about repenting before an angry God have replaced the Jesus revelation of the welcoming arms of a gracious, loving, Christ-like Father?
