Louise is the founder of Shine with Lou, a space created to help people navigate the Life Interruptions that shake their world and reshape who they become. After a lifetime of unexpected twists - from personal losses to emotional upheavals - a profound turning point three years ago forced her to finally unpack the box of emotions she had spent years tucking away.

Lou always says she had a very colourful start to life! One that was shaped by rejection, inconsistency and a deep sense of not feeling good enough. Those early wounds followed her into adulthood, showing up in the relationships she chose, in losing her voice, and even in the heartbreak of losing her son.

Back in 2019, she took a huge leap of faith and moved 3,000 miles away on a one-way ticket. It was the first real moment she listened to the part of her that was crying out for something more. That decision opened the door to her healing journey.

Three years ago came the biggest Life Interruption of all. After 30 years of living with kidney disease and never letting it stop her, this time she had to stop, finally forcing her to face so much of what she’d been carrying.

These last three years have been the most transformative of her life, and they’re the reason she's so passionate about the work she does now. She now helps others navigate their own Life Interruptions because she's lived through them, and she knows how beautifully life can unfold on the other side.

What began as her own healing journey has transformed into a mission: to guide others through their next chapter with compassion, honesty and empowerment. Louise now supports her community through her Life Interruptions membership, Belief Coding® sessions and her signature digital Shine With Lou card decks, helping people turn their most painful pauses into powerful redirections.

Emma is passionate about making sure no other parent has to go through what her family did. 

After watching her son suffer with reflux for the first 10 months of his life Emma discoveredThe Baby Reflux Lady. Her book, weaning course and the expertise she had passed down to one of her previous students we spoke to, changed their lives. 

In March 2022, when her son was 13 months,  she decided to study to become an infant reflux specialist herself. She had experienced first hand how finding out and addressing the root cause can stop reflux in days. 

Before becoming a mum to Toby Emma was a Nanny, holiday Nanny, temporary Nanny and non-medical maternity nurse for 12 years. She loved her job and how it took her all round the world exploring so many different cities and countries. During her career she looked after a total of 120 children, so had a vast array of experience with babies and toddlers - mainly under 5's and also with the parents too!

Lynsey is a disabled Mum, Wife, author, business owner from Shoeburyness in Essex, England.

Being born and raised with Cerebral Palsy in the 80s/90s was difficult. Disability and accessibility were not discussed or considered. But....Lynsey wasn't going to sit there (pun intended) and put up with things the way they were. 

So she's spent her life writing, showing up and being a part of the change. That's reflected in her debut book - disabled people can be fully involved and great parents too. 

Their laser business started out of necessity - her husband worked on the oil rigs and really wanted to leave. They also wanted to start a family and as Lynsey's health becomes more complicated they needed him to be at home more.

So slowly but surely BMUK is becoming their main business giving them the freedom and privilege of time. Whilst also providing her with the means to navigate life as a disabled mum with an autistic 5 year old. 

She hopes in the next 18 months their business will be a 100% home based.

Rosie started her first business aged 16, armed with just her GCSEs. After running an array of companies – some successful ventures, and others that failed along the way – she saw a real lack of platforms to support a woman like her, navigating the world of work by herself.

In my early career, she had no resources to guide her. Everything was trial and error. While that journey was (and continues to be) incredibly exciting, downright challenging and a lot of hard work, she knows that if she had better tools and advice available to her, she would have saved on mistakes and money, and excelled much quicker.
