On a scale of 1-10 how fearful are you? Are your fears specific, or do you live with a generalized sense of fear that you can’t quite put your finger on? Maybe it’s a combination of both.
This Sunday we will continue to think together about how we might overcome our fears in the conflicted, tribal, and anxious culture we live in. We will refer to Adam Hamilton’s book “Unafraid” as our guide. He suggests we follow this plan:
— Face your fears with faith.
— Examine your assumptions in the light of the facts.
— Attach your anxieties with action.
— Release your cares to God.
It’s an acronym that spells F.E.A.R., which I’m sure you figured out. How helpful is this plan?
