As we close out the month of February. Mona King Austin was at the White House with President Donald J. Trump. POTUS MENTIONED OPPORTUNITY ZONES, criminal justice reform and HBCUs at White House Black History Month reception. “I will never give up until we give equal opportunity to every neighborhood across the land,“ he said Adding African Americans have made record progress over the last 3.5 years of his time as president. A former NFL player called President Trump the "first black president," during a Black History Month roundtable in the White House Cabinet Room on Thursday.
Jack Brewer, a former NFL safety who played college ball at Southern Methodist University before embarking a five-year journeyman pro career. Brewer is also an ordained minister, a professor at Fordham University and a part of the online brigade of outspoken Trump supporters.
"I've got to say this because it's Black History Month. Man, you're the first black president," Brewer offer before the event ended.
Prior to the election of the 44th U.S. Pres. Barack H. Obama, who served two scandal-free terms, African Americans quipped that Pres. Bill Clinton, who is white, was the "first Black President." At the time having an actual Black president of a country with a deeply racist past was unthinkable. Bill Clinton supported numerous policies and programs that help build up the African-American middle class and was compared some of Clinton's conduct to Blacks.
We also talked about Super Tuesday and the upcoming elections in South Carolina. in closing we talked about the family of the Late Kobe Bryant. Thoughts and prayers go out to Joe, Pam and @kobebryant Sisters! Although we don’t know all the details, we/I learned something super amazing in this tragedy! “Life is super short and forgiveness is in order!” I’m sure a few people will unfollow because of this post but I’d love to know how you feel!
