The Bible presents desire as a gift from God, not something to be ashamed of. From Genesis to Proverbs, Scripture celebrates sexual intimacy within marriage as a source of joy and wonder. However, after the fall, desire became distorted, leading to consumption rather than connection. Pornography and uncaged appetite train us to see people as objects rather than image-bearers. The path to redeemed desire requires gospel-centered reframing, grace-filled community, and the courage to do the hard work of transformation. True satisfaction comes not from getting what we want, but from becoming who God created us to be.
