Ben Phillips and Rob Squires breakdown a weekend split as the Smoke Eaters took care of business on Friday night at home against Merritt but left Penticton the following night on the back of a 9-3 defeat. The Smoke Eaters goaltending situation took a hit last week as well with veteran goaltender Cole Tisdale being added to the 30-day Injury List. That allowed room for Keegan Maddocks to join the team. Maddocks and Kendrick will be tasked with manning the net for the foreseeable future as the Smoke Eaters embark on a three game road trip to Vancouver Island this weekend. We also catch up with another goaltender in Smoke Eaters Alumnus Logan Terness who is off to a incredible start with the University of Connecticut playing NCAA Division 1 hockey.
