There is a lot of work for T-Mobile to do in their current network. They do have an advantage, for now, in mid band spectrum. That window or opportunity to pass Verizon and AT&T closes in the next 1.5 years.
The advantage, however, is overstated. T-Mobile is playing catchup in speeds and coverage across the country.
Their investments into the network will be the x factor if they are able to pass Verizon and or AT&T in the next couple of years in key markets.
