A huge possible barrier to the creation of a park on Lot 48 is the fact that now the library department of Pawnee has put in a request for the property. This episode features the first appearance of Tammy Swanson (Megan Mullaly) and real life wife of Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman). Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) has to help guide him back away from the darkness of his ex-wife, and restore balance to the beauty of the Park Department.

Things are starting to get spicy when Leslie Knope spies on a teenage kid who she thinks is vandalizing city property on Halloween night year after year. Now with the help of her cop boyfriend Dave (Louis CK) and future shoe-shine expert Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) they might be able to put a stop to his schemes. Meanwhile, Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) is trying to throw a fun Halloween party with her lame-ass boyfriend Mark Brendanawicz (Paul Schneider) who we can't wait to leave the show.

A delegation of Venezualian government officials travels to our favorite city of Pawnee, IN, to visit with our Heroine Leslie Knope. While she is excited at first, things don't go as planned when the delgates are a group of rude entitled jerks. Our podcast hosts, Raina and Brandon, struggle to nail down the B-plot for this one, and they get a little into the muddy politics of the early 2000's NBC sitcom. There's just one problem, it's the early 2000s and gay marriage was not the law of the land yet, and the show takes a hilarious, yet, positive stance on the then controversial issue. It takes great pleasure poking fun at all the backwards types who were, and some still are sadly, against equality. Our heroine Leslie Knope, however, is named Queen of the Gays and embraces her small, if accidental role, in pushing the fictional town of Pawnee to be better. Hilarity, of course, ensues.
