A Must Buy for Pop-up Book Collectors!
Absolutely beautiful and so cleverly engineered by paper artist, Yevgeniya Yeretskaya, who happens to be the daughter-in-law of one of my favorite romance authors, Heather Graham! I collect children's literature especially high end pop-up books by paper artists like Subuda and Reinhart and this is a very welcome addition to my collection.
Snow Queen series is excellent reading!
Joan Vinge is one of my favorite Sci-fi writers of all time. This book is just great, but you really have to read The Summer Queen (the sequel) to get the Big Picture. Read them both, they're fantastic! Great mix of humanity and science.
I'm so glad they're now available for my Kindle as I have them both in hard cover and they're just plain heavy to lug around.

This book is beautiful! I looked it up because I was feeling nostalgic and this was one of the stories I remembered reading as a child. I found this book and the pop ups are incredible! The story line is fairly sophisticated compared to stories written for younger children but that works for us. My 5 year old son likes really long and complex stories so this was perfect for him and he loved the popups as well!
Before "Frozen" There Was This
This sci-fi take on the Snow Queen folktale is fantastic. Unfortunately, with the popularity of Disney's "Frozen," they can't make a film out of it without people thinking it's a rip-off.
