I watched The Social Dilemma last night and recorded this podcast in response.
I don't have any answers for the frightening association between the rise of social media and rates of adolescent and tween mental illness and suicide, other than turning off all notifications to stop that dopamine rush we all seem to become so addicted to.
This episode explore the link between experiences and beliefs, which then drive thinking and behaviour towards experiences that are similar, and so the cycle embeds.
Psychotherapy is a powerful tool to intervene in this negative cycle, and I discuss this.
