Our guest is Kelly Siegel-Stechler (SEE-gul STEK-lur) is a Research Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy and PhD Candidate at the Johns Hopkins School of Education, where her research focuses on the educational determinants of civic development and political socialization in schools, especially as they relate to social studies curriculum and teaching. She is also the co-founder of Foundations for Leadership, a non-profit organization providing Model United Nations programming to public school districts in Florida.
