On Christmas Eve in 1945 in Fayetteville, WV the Sodder family went to bed after opening presents. Suddenly at 1am they were awoken to their house on fire. Five children did not make it out alive, however their remains were never found. How is it possible that no one ever saw them escape the house but no remains were found when the fire was not hot or long enough to cremate the bones? Did the children escape, were they kidnapped, or did they perish in the fire?
