Ever eaten something and immediately thought "Uh oh...what did I do to deserve this?!"
In this episode, we're talking fiber, gut symptoms and the art of figuring out what the heck your stomach is trying to tell you.
I'm sharing more of my own gut health journey- from blaming dairy for basically everything to getting an IBS diagnosis and learning that fiber could actually be part of the solution.
We'll get into why more fiber isn't always better, how to add it without making your stomach angry, why hydration matters and why your gut symptoms are clues rather than automatic explanations.
We're also zooming out to look at the bigger picture: stress, sleep, eating habits, movement and all the other little things that can affect how your gut feels.
Most importantly, we're talking about how to pay attention to your body without turning every stomach rumble into a full blown investigation.
Because gut health isn't about having a perfect stomach. It's about getting to know yours.

When you hear gut health, do you immediately think bloating, probiotics, fiber, or frantically locating the nearest bathroom?
In this episode, we’re going beyond digestion and talking about what’s actually happening inside your gut and how it connects to your brain, hormones, immune system, stress, sleep and so much more.
I’m sharing my own long (and occasionally frustrating) history with gut issues, what finally led me to an IBS diagnosis and why I stopped thinking about my gut as something I needed to fix and started thinking about it as something I needed to listen to.
We’ll talk about the gut microbiome, the gut-brain connection, food, fiber, stress, hormones, food freedom and some simple ways to support your gut without buying 17 supplements or following another impossible wellness checklist.
Because your body isn’t working against you. It’s communicating with you. And sometimes, the softest thing we can do is pay attention.
As always, I’m a health coach, not a doctor, and this episode is based on my own experience and research—not medical advice.

Have you ever wondered why your energy, appetite, mood, motivation and even your desire to be around people can feel completely different from one week to the next?
In this episode, we're talking all things cycle syncing. What it actually is, what happens during the four phases of the menstrual cycle and how you can use that information to better understand your body.
For me, learning about my cycle became less about following a perfect schedule and more about paying attention to my own patterns. And yes...it also resulted in the discovery of my luteal phase alter ego: Quinn.
We'll also talk about seed cycling, cycle awareness and some questions you can start asking yourself if you want to better understand your own patterns.
As always, I'm a certified health coach, not a doctor or medical professional. This episode is for educational and informational purposes only and is not medical advice. If you're experiencing significant or persistent symptoms, please talk with a qualified health professional.

What if you don't need more discipline? What if you just need better options?
In this episode, we're talking about restriction, the white bear problem, food guilt, perfectionism and the concept of crowding out- the idea that sometimes adding more of what supports you can be more effective than constantly trying to take things away.
I'm sharing how this has shown up in my own relationship with food, movement and consistency including the "toolkit" metaphor that completely changed how I think about exercise. Because wellness doesn't have to mean constantly depriving yourself, starting over or doing things perfectly.
Sometimes the question isn't "What do I need to stop doing?"
It's "What could I add?"

Welcome to the first ever Soft Life Sessions Book Club!
Today we're taking a little break from our regularly scheduled wellness content to talk about something I've been absolutely obsessed with lately: books.
I'm sharing the books I've read so far this year, the ones I loved, the ones I couldn't put down and the books that have officially turned me into a romantasy girlie.
If you love books, need a new recommendation or simply want to know what I've been reading lately- this one's for you.
And consider this your official invitation to the SLS Book Club. No required reading. Just vibes.

What actually happens when you stop hormonal birth control?
In this episode, I'm sharing my own experience with hormonal birth control, why I ultimately decided to come off it, how I prepared and what surprised me along the way.
We'll also get into the basics of how hormonal birth control works, what can happen when you stop, why everyone's experience can look different and some of the things I wish I had understood before making my own decision.
This isn't an episode about telling you what you should do. It's about understanding your options, asking better questions, doing your own research and learning to advocate for yourself.
Because your body isn't something you have to fight with. It's something you get to know.
As always, this episode is based on my personal experience and research is not medical advice. Please talk with your own healthcare professional before making any decisions about contraception or your health.
Thanks for being here. Be soft with yourselves.

What does "holistic health" actually mean? And what if wellness doesn't have to be all or nothing?
In this episode, we're talking about looking at the whole picture: your food, sleep, movement, stress, relationships, work, environment and all the little things that can affect how you feel.
I'm sharing some very real life examples of what this looks like for me, from stress spirals and 35 min workout negotiations to brownies, rot days and learning that consistency doesn't mean perfection.
We'll also talk about creating your own dopamine menu by paying attention to what gives you energy, what calms you down, what makes you happy and what consistently leaves you feeling depleted.
You don't need to overhaul your life. You just need to start paying attention.
And remember, the brownie isn't the problem. Nothing is ruined.

What does "soft life" actually mean?
In this episode, I'm talking about why I almost didn't choose the name the Soft Life Sessions, what the phrase means to me and why I think so many of us have been taught to believe we have to earn our health, rest and happiness.
I'm sharing a little of my own story from chasing the "ideal" body and constantly trying to optimize my life, to learning how to slow down, pay attention and get an understanding about what my body is actually trying to tell me.
We'll talk about curiosity over criticism, becoming the scientist and the subject and why sometimes the best thing we can do is stop trying to have all the answers.
This week's question: What are you paying attention to?
Be soft with yourselves.
