James Barta is a graduate of and former lecturer at Georgetown University. He clerked for Judge Raymond M. Kethledge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Judge Stephen J. Murphy, III of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is currently the Indiana Solicitor General and regularly defends the interests of the State of Indiana both locally and federally.
