We spoke to our guest about the timelessness and timeliness of Kenny Rogers in her life. We started with Kenny’s 8-track tapes playing in her grandparent's car, then ventured to the time she had the chance to meet him and, finally, all the way through to the moment she had to tell her mom she had breast cancer. |

This week, we spoke to our guest about the soundtrack of the 2004 film Garden State. We talked about how the movie brought back nostalgic memories of his childhood and how revisiting the soundtrack a decade later helped him cope with his mother’s passing.
While he can still listen to that album I can no longer listen to Frank Turner’s Long Live the Queen because I do not cope in a healthy manner.
Finally, we unearthed the first ever albums that Sarah, Cole and I ever had on our iPods. One of us had Oingo Boingo and someone else had Rise Against. I am sure you can’t guess who had which. |
