This episode examines the chilling case of Ahmad Suradji, an Indonesian sorcerer who confessed to ritually murdering 42 women to enhance his supernatural powers. Believing that strangling women and consuming their saliva would grant mystical abilities—prompted by a vision of his deceased father—he lured victims under the pretense of providing black magic services. Often, he buried them waist-deep in sugarcane fields before killing them with the assistance of his wives.
Although he initially evaded suspicion by feigning grief, a prolonged police excavation uncovered dozens of remains on his property. Public outrage over his initial life sentence led to a retrial, resulting in his execution by firing squad in 2008. The case portrays a man consumed by dark delusions and a deadly obsession with occult power.
