The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a novel by Hanns Heinz Ewers. It introduces the character of Frank Braun, who is a writer, historian, philosopher, and world traveleler. The novel tells the tales of Braun's attempt to maipulate a small cult of Evangelical Chrsitians in a small Italian moutnain village for his own financial gain, and the horrific results which ensue.
