Traditionally, development cooperation involved the transfer of resources and reform-prescriptions from North to South. Over the last years, however, more and more solutions to development challenges are coming from the global South. These countries want to learn from the practical experiences of others and share lessons of their own.
In a world where countries are increasingly engaged in experience exchange and mutual learning, the role of multilateral organizations is changing from providers of knowledge to connectors of knowledge.
Han Fraeters, Manager of the Knowledge Exchange Practice at the World Bank Institute will explain the World Bank’s operational approach and invite participants to share their views and experiences on how to strengthen the approach moving forward.
