The Spark that Lit a Career | Show Clip

Listen Later

Caruso's early experience with photography and film began at home, where he learned to operate a projector and watch films. The film "The Magnificent Ambersons," directed by Orson Welles, sparked his interest in lighting and cinematography and inspired him to pursue a career in the film industry. He started a film production company at 15, making commercials and industrial documentaries, and later joined the union as a still photographer. His journey in the film industry was shaped by his father's equipment, his mother's support, and his own passion for the art of filmmaking.
