Multidisciplinary artist Ted Efremoff came onto the podcast to talk about his documentary A Refugee’s Guide to Rome. Ted Efremoff shared his Felliniesque past as a Russian immigrant who fell in love with Rome, how he met his documentary’s subject Joseph Peters, and how Joseph Peters himself relates his journey with the legendary Aeneas as a LGBTQ rights-supporting refugee fleeing from Sierra Leone, and the power of oral storytelling. Ted also shared how he started his artist career, his fascination with mythology, and his love for the documentary The Five Obstructions. And Jay got confused about archaeoacoustics.
