Because of the finished work of Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit, we are no longer debtors to the flesh or bound to sin. Instead, we are debtors to God - to put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit and live as those who have been adopted as sons. What a privilege: we who were once slaves in fear can now cry out with boldness, "Abba! Father!" as beloved children of the King.
