Businesses have the power to make a real impact in the world by solving all kinds of issues for their customers. When the spirit of giving is embedded into the culture and operations of an organisation the impact becomes even more powerful and the world becomes a happier, more caring place.
In this episode we're talking with Masami Sato. Masami is an award winning social entrepreneur, TEDx speaker and author, and CEO of B1G1 based in Singapore. Masami had a simple idea: “What if every business could make a difference in their own way, just by doing what they normally do?” With more than a decade of work, this simple idea has now become a global movement of almost 3000 businesses and over 250 million impacts - and growing.
- If we wait until the future to create an impact it may never happen. Taking positive action today no matter how small, can be very powerful.
- We. can no longer ignore the big issues facing humanity and our planet. Partnership. and collaboration are the way forward.
- Giving alone is not enough, but it creates a shift in mindset and consciousness that attracts the right people (employees, customers and stakeholders) that will enable businesses to evolve and ultimately transform the way we live and work for better.
- Life is a game that. we get to share with other people. When we come together with the intention to enjoy the game, sharing all our differences and inequalities we can achieve better outcomes for everyone.
- When we accept what we cannot change, we can live our lives more courageously and bring more love and joy into the world.
