In this first half of John 16, we discover that Jesus began to prepare His disciples for the inevitable opposition and persecution. He gave them His Words and left them in the comfort of the Helper. This Helper is an extension of Jesus' ministry to and through us even today. The Helper is the Holy Spirit and He is our advantage over life's vissicitudes.
