We consider the importance of blood for bringing oxygen to every part of every vertebrate's body -- and also for removing waste chemicals and transmitting heat. Beyond that, we discuss the spiritual implications of blood -- especially when one person gives of their own blood to help another person live.

We also George's work for the last decade to help the FDA protect the integrity of the blood supply at the same time that they are making blood donation possible for all people whose blood is healthy.
