Throughout the day, keep a running list of all the good gifts you notice. Find five. Once you have found five, find five more. Once you have found ten, find five more. Can you fill a page by the end of the day?

With apologies to Polycarp, today let your prayer begin like this: “On February 1, God, you have done no wrong to me. Far from it! Instead, you have given me gift after gift. Let me tell you what I have received, so that You know that I know these gifts came from You. (Read your list to God.) Gracious God, how can I not acknowledge you and say “thank you” from my heart for all you have done today? Thank you, my friend. Amen.”
