It was 96 years ago today when one of the deadliest gang hits took place.
In Chicago Illinois, 1929, it was suspected that Al Capone orchestrated the execution of seven men involved in George "Bugs" Moran's gang. Inside of a north side Chicago garage, the seven men were lined up against the wall and shot to death execution style.
This supposed mob hit is now widely known as the St. Valentine's Day massacre. It has never been solved; however, there have been numerous individuals associated with Al Capone to have been involved. And it is widely speculated that Al Capone ordered the hit himself with hopes of eliminating his biggest rival, George "Bugs" Moran.
